God wants to be reconciled to His creation (including you and me). That’s why Jesus came here. We are forgiven (Justified by faith), and He will change us (sanctified).

Worship is an amazing unique thing. It is a true intimate exchange between us and God, the Created and the Creator. It restores our center, bind us together, refreshes our hearts, focuses us on God. It should be alive and unhindered by anything but the Spirit of God. It can be big and loud, wild and fun, or quiet and calm.

Conflict between the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan is a fact of life.

Trials are not abnormal. Spiritual growth is very often a product of suffering.

Being part of a ministry on a consistent basis is a Bible normal. To be disengaged from ministry is abnormal.

Heart trumps appearance. Holiness and righteousness are non-negotiable, they come from the reality of God forming Christ in us through the Holy Spirit, not from our religious behaviors.

Discipleship is the life of following Jesus and becoming like him as a pupil or apprentice.

The purpose of the church is to expand the Kingdom of God. The purpose of the church is not to preserve itself as an organization or program.

Church life should equip people to live in and help build the Kingdom.

Each church has a unique mission. Each church should have a differing form or style so that it may minister to its mission group.

Relationships are the glue that keep us together and should be a top priority in all church activity.

Individuals are responsible for their role in Christian fellowship. The Church provides the opportunities for this to happen.

All relationships have occasional conflicts, and conflict is not necessarily an evil thing. Conflict is sometimes the way we learn to work together, when those conflicts are dealt with Biblically. Chronic conflict may indicate deeper issue that the Body must address for the purpose of healing.

The Body (Church) must grow. Without a constant and consistent exercise towards growth the church will quickly become stagnant. The focus of a healthy Church is outward, stretching, growing.

Evangelism is mainly accomplished through the relationships in everyday life.

Leadership is a functional reality, not an appointment, democratic decision or reward.

The job of a church leader is to equip, train and encourage the people in ministry.

Excellence is important in everything the Church does.

The source of ministry is in the depth of the relationship a minister has with Jesus. This comes from surrender to God, openness to the Holy Spirit and current experience with Jesus, usually rooted in thriving prayer and devotional life.

Believers really want to obey Jesus. An important issue of ministry is removing obstacles that keep people from being able to do what they want to do.

I want to blog. There is no time. Someday there will be time.

Daniel 12:3

Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. - (NIV)
